Open AI announces Advanced Voice Mode AVM for Chat GPT
New Open AI voices are amazing! It proves that AI is evolving so fast and we are so close to more natural-looking AI agents.
On September 24, Open AI announced that “Advanced Voice is rolling out to all Plus and Team users in the ChatGPT app over the course of the week.”
“While you’ve been patiently waiting, we’ve added Custom Instructions, Memory, five new voices, and improved accents.
It can also say “Sorry I’m late” in over 50 languages.” Open AI also said.
OpenAI's latest update brings a more natural conversation experience to ChatGPT, with enhanced voice features and a new look for its audio interface.
- it can laugh
- it can cry
- it can tell jokes in a funny way
- it can sing
- it can bitbox
- it can look scared
One voice missing from this lineup is Sky, that voice that OpenAI showcased during its spring update, which led to a legal threat from Scarlett Johansson. The actress claimed that Sky’s voice sounded a little too similar to her own. OpenAI promptly took Sky’s voice down, saying it never intended to resemble Johansson’s voice, despite several staff members making references to the movie in tweets at the time.
With this update, ChatGPT takes a step closer to a more human-like conversational interface, setting it apart in AI development. Its evolving voice technology could redefine user interaction with AI - bringing it into more natural and everyday contexts.
