Sam Altman said that it won't take much time until AGI (artificial general intelligence) comes into our lives. But "It will change the world much less than we all think and it will change jobs much less than we all think," he said in a conversation with Bloomberg at this year's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

But other Davos attendees predicted dramatic job losses starting this year due to generative AI.

OpenAI's definition states that AGI is a "system that outperforms humans at most economically valuable work", limiting it to the areas of productivity and significantly narrowing its range compared to other definitions.
